¡Bienvenidos a la clase de Señora Krauss!

Welcome! I am Señora Krauss. I have been teaching at Blackman Highschool since January 2006. That is 18 years, WOW! I started my career at BHS, and I have never wanted to leave. I am the World Language Department Head, the Spanish Club sponsor, and part of the New Teacher Mentoring Team.

  • Course Materials: Students will be using the ¡Qué Chévere! Spanish 2 Textbook, the Carnegie Learning Online Textbook & Workbook, and a Grammar & Vocabulary Workbook.

  • Digital Materials: Students will be using Clever, Schoology, the Carnegie Learning Online Textbook & Workbook, Kahoot!, Quizlet, Quizizz, and Educational websites.

  • Grading Procedures: I grade using total points and do not offer extra credit. I allow one retake for all failing quizzes and tests. The maximum the student may earn on retakes is 60% (D). Blackman students must complete all assignments. If a student fails to turn in an assignment on time, he/she will be penalized a 25% deduction after grading it unless the reason for the late assignment is covered by the absentee/make-up policy. The student will be given a zero until he/she completes the assignment. Lastly, I do not offer Grade Recovery.

  • Schedule: 1st & 2nd periods - Planning / 3rd, 4th, 5th & 7th periods - Honors Spanish 2 / 6th & 8th periods - Standards Spanish 2
