Justin Smith, Principal

Biography
Mr. Smith has been in education for 22 years. Born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN, he graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2001 with a B.A. in English. He started teaching at Blackman in the Fall of 2001, where he taught English and History courses for 17 years. In 2012, he graduated from Lipscomb University with a M.Ed. in Teacher, Learning, and Leading. Beginning in 2018, he served for two years as our school's first Instructional Coach, followed by serving two years as an Assistant Principal. In 2021, he earned an Ed.S. in Accountability and Instructional Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University. He currently serves as the principal of Blackman High School.
