2024 Middle TN Cheer Classic
IMPORTANT Information for Coaches:
Awards- Awards' sessions run throughout the day in the auditorium and are listed at the bottom of each performance session on the attached document. Trophies will be issued to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. All competitive teams will be verbally recognized regardless of their placement at the awards ceremonies. Exhibitions will not be recognized at awards and may leave after their performance.
Waivers- Remember, each cheerleader MUST have the participant form (waiver attached) signed in order to participate. You may scan and email those to me ahead of time at [email protected] if you'd prefer. Just make sure you include your team name when you do so.
T-shirts-Competition T-shirts will be available on site the day of the competition.
Important Information for Parents AND Coaches (please share with parents):
1. The doors will open to teams and spectators starting at 9:30 a.m. (but not before). All mats will be open and available for teams to use/share until 10:30.Official floor warm ups begin at 10:40. The four warm up areas include tumbling (two mats), stunting(three mats), a full floor warm up, and an on deck holding area. You will have 4 minutes in each of these areas. You will be given a Blackman cheerleader host upon registration who will take your team to a location to store belongings.
2. Team Registration: Team registration will be in the FRONT of Blackman High School facing Blaze Dr. If it rains, that will change.3. Spectators will enter through the gym entrance on the right side of the school. Signs will be outside to indicate location.4. Tickets may EITHER be purchased online ahead of time and picked up at will call (gym entrance) or purchased via cash at the gate. Ages 5 and under are free, ages 6-10 are $5. All other spectators are $10. Tickets for will call may be purchased at this link:Please send this link out to parents, as it will reduce the line if they pay in advance. The will call link will go inactive 24 hours before the event, and then will be cash only at the door after that time.5. When you enter the registration area, you will be assigned a location to store your belongings. You will also be given FOUR coaches' passes that are required to access the backstage area, hospitality room and warm up areas. We have had too many unaccounted for people in these areas in the past, and have assured our principal that we will keep the building secure. Please let your parents know that only designated coaches are allowed in these areas, and they will need to remain in the lobby/gym area after they enter the building. If you have a non-coach doing hair, etc., that is fine. They will need to be one of the four people you give passes to. The bathrooms in the gym lobby are open for cheerleaders and parents, should a parent need to help them get ready who is not one of the four designated people per team.
6. In an effort to keep the backstage area clean, only water will be allowed in the storage/warm up areas of the school. Sorry for any inconvenience. Food may be eaten in the lobby and gym areas.Finally, please do not forget your team waivers on the 29th. We cannot allow a participant on the floor without one. I can't wait to see you all perform!
