Brief Biography
I am a lifelong resident of Rutherford County growing up in the Kittrell community. I attended Middle Tennessee Christian School from kindergarten through 12th grade graduating in 1984. I attended Middle Tennessee State University, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology along with minors in Chemistry, History, and Secondary Education. In 2012, I earned a Master of Education degree from Lipscomb University in Teaching, Learning, and Leading. This school year begins my 30th year as a teacher and my 17th year at Blackman High School. I am married and have three children, all of whom graduated from BHS. My daughters are both married and each has one son. In addition to teaching Chemistry, I am the director of our graduation ceremony and I serve as the public address announcer for our varsity basketball games.
