Welcome to Blackman High School Volleyball

We are excited to welcome new families and returning athletes to our volleyball program! Our program is built on dedication, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence on and off the court. Last season, we had an incredible journey that led us to the first state tournament appearance in 10 years, a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our athletes and coaching staff. We look forward to building on that success as we head into the new season!

2025 Volleyball Tryout Information

Round 1

📅 Date: May 28
⏰ Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (Registration begins at 5:15 PM)
📍 Location: Blackman High School Main Gym
🏐 Who: Current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders ONLY

Round 2

📅 Date: June 4
⏰ Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM (Registration begins at 5:15 PM)
📍 Location: Blackman High School Main Gym
🏐 Who: Rising 8th graders and high school athletes who made Round 1 cuts

Requirements to Try Out:

✔ A complete FinalForms account
✔ An updated sports physical dated after April 15, 2025
✔ Appropriate athletic attire and water bottle

Tryout numbers that are assigned to athletes at registration will be posted online by the end of the weekend following tryouts. You can also monitor our Instagram for updates.

Mandatory Parent Meeting

📅 Date: Friday, June 6
⏰ Time: 6:00 - 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Blackman High School Auditorium

📍 The auditorium is located directly beside the main gym. A Zoom link will be provided for families unable to attend.

🗓️ Players will practice from 6:30 - 8:00 PM following the meeting.

2025 Little Sparks Clinic

📅 Date: June 9, 11, 16, 18
⏰ Time: 6:00 - 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Blackman High School Main Gym
🏐 Who: Little Sparks Clinics are for all rising K-5th graders interested in learning what volleyball is in a fun and collaborative setting.

Little Sparks attendees will be placed in small groups (or one-on-one) with Blackman Volleyball athletes to learn the fundamentals of the sport. Our goal is to create an integrative experience for each athlete that grows their love for the sport and builds their confidence in group settings.

Practice Information

📅 June Practices: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – 6:00 - 8:00 PM
📅 Dead Period: June 23 - July 4 – No volleyball activities
📅 July Practices: Every day – 6:00 - 8:00 AM

Financial Expectations

💲 Player Fee: $200
💲 Fundraiser Fee: $200

Players will receive fundraiser opportunities to cover both of these expenses.

All fees will be due on July 28th by check only.
