Blackman FFA
About Blackman FFA
Blackman FFA is more than a a club about agriculture — it’s a leadership organization where students build skills for life. Our members explore agriculture through their CTE pathway Agriculture classes, while also gaining opportunities in public speaking, career development events, competitions, and community service.
FFA isn’t just for students who want to farm — it’s for anyone who wants to lead, grow, and make an impact. At Blackman High, FFA gives students a place to belong, friends to grow with, and experiences that prepare them for the future.
Tennessee FFA Affiliation
Blackman High School FFA is part of the Tennessee FFA Affiliation Program. This means every student enrolled in an agriculture class at Blackman is automatically an FFA member — no state dues required. We ask that any active members pay a $20 chapter due to cover travel and event expenses. Affiliation helps us open the door for all students in an agriculture class to experience FFA. Whether it’s leadership development, competitions, community service, or hands-on agricultural learning, every ag student at Blackman High has the opportunity to be involved in FFA from day one.
Students not placed in an agriculture course are unfortunately ineligible to join and participate in FFA, according to National FFA policy. Interested in FFA? Ask your counselor about starting your pathway in agriculture.
