Hello English II students and BHS Parents,
 
We hope you are all well during this unusual time off. 
 
English II teachers want to provide you with weekly opportunities for suggested practice so you can retain your academic skills in reading, writing, grammar, and analytical skills.  Each week we will provide one Commonlit.org article for you to read and practice, one No Red Ink (NRI) grammar practice with quiz, and the link to access ACT Academy
 
Please see the link and article below.  Each student will log on to his/her NRI account for grammar practice.  Email the teacher if you need help with user name/password resets.
 
Students who have failed first semester or third quarter should contact teachers via email to discuss recovery opportunities.
 
For additional practice, please refer to the Rutherford County Schools website.

JC Whiteboard Project-Tracking a Complex Character-
Create a Graphic Organizer
 
RKID3-Analyze how complex characters, events, ideas develop and interact over the course of the text to impact meaning.
 
Include the following elements: +4 quotes required/+4 graphics
1.  Define Characterization pg R103
2.  Choose a character:  Brutus, Cassius, Caesar
3.  Identify the character as protagonist, antagonist, catalyst-explain in +2 sentences
4.  Give examples and quotes and graphics for how the character fits the 4 elements of the definition-CHARACTERIZATION.
5.  Conflicts-explain internal and/or external conflicts the character faces.  What is his motivation?
6.  Choose a symbol for this character and explain its significance OR make a meme with a caption!
7.  Make a character Connection-literary, contemporary, historical.  Explain +3 sentences
8. Explain the connections among all 3 characters.
