Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee Scholarships
The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's Scholarship Program is made up of 38 different scholarship funds established by individuals, firms or organizations wanting to assist individuals in furthering their educations. Students apply to the program and, if eligible, can be awarded grants from one or more of these different funds. American Legion Scholarships
Criteria: Children or legally adopted children or a child of a spouse by a prior marriage or dependent child as defined by the United States Armed Services for active duty personnel of the United States military and National Guard, and military reservists who were federalized and die on active duty on or after September 11, 2001 are eligible. Microsoft Disability Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior living with a disability, as defined by WHO, whether it be visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive speech or other disability who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must have demonstrated leadership in school and/or in the community and have declared an approved major in engineering, computer information systems, law, business or a related field. ACS Scholars Program

Criteria: Applicant must be African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino or American Indian and a U.S Citizen or legal permanent U. S. resident, a graduating senior with plans to major full time in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or other chemically related field such as environmental science, materials science or toxicology. Students interested in a 2-year college program for chemical technology may also qualify for scholarships. Must demonstrate financial need and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in chemistry or science classes. High Aspiration Scholarship Program

Criteria: Applicant must be a minority student in a Rutherford County School entering college in the fall of 2020. A minimum GPA of 3.0 and ACT of at least 22 is required. Applicant must also be in student leadership and be active in the community. 5 different scholarships are available. See Mrs. Kasbee in the front office for details and application.

SP High School Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant must be a high school student and legal resident of the U.S or Puerto Rico planning to attend a U.S.college in Sept. 2020.

Healthcare As It Should Be Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior graduating from a Rutherford County school with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who is passionate about compassion, availability and excellence in their future career. Essay of at least 700 words is required.( Essay does not need to be healthcare related). See Mrs. Kasbee in the front office for the appliction and essay instructions.

Blackman Community Club Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant must be a Blackman High School senior who has plans to attend college and has been involved with community service. Essay required. See Mrs. Kasbee for information and application.

National Dairy Shrine Scholarships

The Violet, William, David and Ernest Hampton Memorial Scholarship Foundation

Criteria: Only 1 student from Blackman High School will be selected. Applicant should be in the top 10% of their class with plans to attend an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school on a full time basis, and they  must demonstrate financial need. Their expected family contribution on their student aid report must be less than $18,000.00. See Mrs. Kasbee in the front office for information and see Ms. Bryan for consideration for this scholarship.

Award: $1500.00 per year for 4 years

Scott and Kim Verplank Foundation Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant must be a high school senior with a GPA of at least 3.0 and have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. 2020 Student-View Scholarship Contest

Criteria: Applicant must log on to www.student-view.com and complete a short application survey about colleges in our area.  The scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications.
