 Kids' Chance

Criteria: Available to students who are 16 - 22 years old who are legal residents of Tennessee. The applicant must  have a parent who has suffered a catastrophic, permanently disabling or fatal injury for which the parent or parent's family was entitled to receive benefits under the Tennessee Workers' Compensation Act. Applicants must show academic achievement and aptitude and demonstrate substantial financial need. For additional information, click here: www.kidschanceoftn.org

Award: up to $3000.00 per semester or $6000.00 per year depending on the efc and other awards applied to the student's account.

Deadline: As soon as possible after the fafsa is completed.

   

 Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Criteria: Any senior who is a U.S.Citizen pursuing a 4 year degree on a full-time basis at an 

accredited U.S college or university. Applicants need to be at or near the top of their class,

active in their school and community and recognized as a leader by their peers. For more information

Award: Dollar amount ranges from $1000 - $12,500 per year. 500 - 4 year scholarships are available.

James Cox Student Photography Scholarships

Scarlett Family Foundation

The American Legion Oratorical Contest

Criteria: An original speech must be written and presented. Competitors can advance to state and national level to earn

59th Annual Freedom Essay Contest (Sertoma Club of Nashville)

Criteria:  All seniors who intend to attend an accredited institution of higher learning in 2019.

MTSU Human Services Department Scholarships (2)

Criteria:  Mary Neal Alexander Scholarship: Student must be a high school graduate enrolled in full-time study each semester in the Human Sciences Program. Their High School GPA must be a minimum of 2.5 with an minimum ACT score of 25. The student must also be involved in their community or church.

Criteria:  Christine and Roddy Memorial Scholarship: Student must be a high school graduate of Rutherford County (preference is

given to Lascassas and Rockvale graduates). Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 or ACT score of 18. Student must be enrolled full-time during each semester in a Human Sciences Program.

Grote Chemistry Scholarship

The Westbrook Scholarship

Criteria: Student must be accepted for admission at UTCStudent must have a 3.0 GPA and an ACT score of 23 minimum.

First preference will be for students majoring in chemistry or physics.

Tennessee Concrete Association High School Essay Contest

Criteria: Student must be 16-18 years old at the beginning of the school term. Essays must be 600 words or less. For more information see Mrs. Breiner or the Scholarship binder in the counseling office.

Award: 3 awards: $250.00, $100 and $50.00
