Muscle Quiz

Welcome back from our wonderful snow days!
Tuesday and Wednesday are block days this week. We will be finishing up our lesson on Muscles and have a quiz on these block days. Please look over your muscle notes and diagram. We are reviewing with a game today in class.
After the muscle quiz, we will continue our anatomy lesson by learning about the heart. We will label a diagram and color the blood flow through the heart after our quiz on the block days.

Abbreviation Quiz 1

Today students defined 20 abbreviations. There will be a quiz on Friday over these. I have attached them here.
Students are also learning about healthcare systems. They are making a brochure with a partner in class. We will be working on this for a few days.

Health Science Students

Sorry it's been a while since my last update. We have been doing to some good things here in class. We have been taking notes over and discussing qualities of a health care professional. We have completed a worksheet on this topic. Today we took notes over and discussed interview skills. The students made their own resume in class (pg 551-552). Next week we will start our Mondays with medical abbreviations and end our weeks with a quiz over those abbreviations. Have a great weekend!

Wednesday 1/4/17

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great break.
We are starting muscles today. We are watching a video about bones and muscles. I blends information you should know from before break to new information about muscles.
I also handed out midterms today to put in your graded work folder and reviewed class rules.
I am looking forward to a great spring semester with you all!
