You can define a specific parabola with only three points. In other words, if you know three points on the parabola, you can find the equation of that parabola. It's a tough thing to do by hand, but the TI-84's QuadReg function does a great job or writing that equation for us.
The assignment was from the textbook. We removed lesson 2.5 and worked on that.
